Greetings from Peace Lutheran Church!
What a great week we’ve just had! On Sunday, we gathered for worship, Sunday School, Personal Care Kit Packing, and another Transition Forum during our Adult Education Hour. On Monday our Transition Team met to take our next steps forward in the Call Process. (Have you signed up for a Listening Session yet?) And on Wednesday night our Confirmation Kids experienced firsthand what it means to “walk by faith and not by sight” by leading each other while wearing blindfolds. (I’m happy to report that there were no injuries!) On top of all that, our quilters met for quilting, the Bible Study group met to study, the choir met to practice, and the book study group met for conversation. And if that’s not enough, Bishop Yehiel Curry was installed last week at Central Lutheran Church in Minneapolis as the new Presiding Bishop of the ELCA. What a week!
This week we’re looking forward to more gatherings and activities! On Sunday morning we’ll worship together by singing, praying, having communion together, and hearing a story about ten people that Jesus healed all at one time.
After worship we’ll gather for coffee and hear from our guest speaker, Sarah Moe, who will share a presentation called “Sleep Well, Live Well.” And later into next week we’ll continue to have people gathering at Peace for a wide range of activities, some of which might be for you. In fact, check out our website for all the different groups and activities that you might be interested in and join in the fun!
God’s Peace,Pastor
