E-Note November 21, 2025

Greetings from Peace Lutheran Church!

In spite of this long string of grey, cloudy days, we continue to celebrate the light of Christ in our lives, especially as we head into the coming season of Advent. Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and holiday events will soon be upon us. Please make sure you check our church calendar for special activities for the whole congregation!

Last Sunday it was fun to have our Sunday School Singers share a joyful song with joyful voices! This Sunday we’ll be celebrating “Christ the King Sunday,” and we’ll hear the familiar story of the last day of Jesus as he was led to the cross on Good Friday. It’s hardly a story to “celebrate” Jesus as our King, and yet it’s in this humble life-giving act that the true power of God was shown in all its glory.

This Sunday is also our annual “Stewardship Sunday,” a day when we focus on our response to all that God is doing in our lives. (Please bring your Commitment Card in the envelope with you to worship.) Afterwards we’ll celebrate together with our annual “Pie Fest” in the Parish Hall!

God’s Peace,

Pastor Jeff Engholm
