Dear Peace Lutheran Church Friends and Family,
Our congregation’s ministry continues to be strong through these summer months – just check out the Peace Facebook page for recent pictures from the VEAP Work Day, Church Grounds Clean-up Project, and the Older Adult Luncheon! And there’s certainly more to come as we continue to collect household items for VEAP, collect school supplies for Poplar Bridge Elementary School, gather with grieving folks at Oak Grove Presbyterian Church on Thursday afternoons, and more!
And in addition to our ongoing summer activities, we’re also making plans for the fall: registration is now open for Sunday School and Confirmation, choir members are warming up their voices for their debut next month, and Gathering Sunday is just around the corner when we’ll kick off our fall programming and install Peace’s new pastor, Rev. Anne Schaefer. Lots to look forward to in the days ahead!
In the meantime, we will continue to center our lives on God’s presence among us as we gather together every Sunday morning. This week during worship we’ll be reminded about how God brings peace in the middle of the storms of life, and afterward we’ll share coffee and conversation in the Parish Hall. See you Sunday!
