Dear Peace Families,
This Sunday after worship, we will all gather together for the Peace annual meeting. During the meeting, we will review and rejoice in our 2022 ministries , elect new church council members, pass our 2023 budget, and hear some of the wonderful ways God is moving through our community.
In addition, the annual report itself contains ministry reports from Pastor Mark and me; Council President Scott Moe; Treasurer Gayle Haugen; and from the Worship and Music Committee, CYF Committee, and Service and Mission Committee.
Here are just a few of the things we’ll celebrate from 2022:
- Peace members gave over $15,000 to support relief efforts in Ukraine and aid to refugees seeking safety in Minnesota, and nearly $7000 to the ELCA Good Gifts program.
- Peace has an awesome new website to better show hospitality to our online members and guests.
- Community continues to be built amongst the 20-30 Somethings of our congregation.
- The number of children attending Sunday School increased by 25% this fall compared to last year.
- About 50 people came together to sing the National Anthem at a Twins Game this summer.
- There were 11 children baptized last year!
These are just a few of the ways that God has been active through our congregation. We hope you will participate on Sunday in this important and impactful part of our life together as we continue growing a community that nurtures a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ!
Grace and Peace,
Joe
