Dear Peace families and friends,
Today I have an invitation and a challenge for each of you.
First, an invitation. Gathering Sunday is coming up this weekend, and we have a wonderful worship service planned, and it will be followed by a delicious meal in the parish hall. You are all invited, and we can’t wait to see you all, and are so excited to kickoff the new ministry year together.
And now, a challenge. I would love for each of you to invite someone else to come. Maybe it’s your next door neighbors. Maybe it’s your parents. Maybe it’s someone who’s been experiencing loneliness. Maybe it’s one of your children’s friends from school. Maybe it’s a friend from Peace that you haven’t seen here in awhile. Maybe it’s just an invitation for you if you haven’t been here in awhile.
We know that community makes a difference—in our own lives and in the lives of those whom we serve around us—and that the Holy Spirit is present with us when we gather. So come and Grow Together with us this fall. There’s faith to be formed, community to build, and relationships to strengthen—and there’s something here for everyone, and an open seat just for you.
I hope you’ll accept our invitation and my challenge, and I can’t wait to see you all soon.
