Dear Peace Members and Friends,
Last Sunday during the Adult Forum, Bishop Jen Nagel led the congregation through a conversation about our current transition and the calling of Peace’s next pastor. This Sunday, Pastor Jen Collins with join us for worship and then meet with the Call Committee about what that next pastor might look like. You can read more details about this process in the Call Process Update below, so I’ll simply ask you to keep it all in your prayers in the days ahead.
At worship on Sunday we will listen to the Sunday School Singers sing, share in Holy Communion, and hear about the temptation of Jesus in the wilderness as he begins his public ministry. During Adult Education after worship, the group that went to Robin’s Nest in Jamaica will share stories and photos of the mission trip they went on last month. What a great morning it will be! See you Sunday for worship at 9:30am and the Adult Education Hour at 10:45 am!
And don’t forget that we’re gathering each Wednesday night for supper at 5:30pm and worship at 6:30pm as we walk together on our Lenten journey using “Holden Evening Prayer” as our guide. Also, please remember that we are having an extra push for VEAP donations in the aftermath of all the recent “shenanigans” in the Twin Cities! Our neighbors need our help now more than ever, so… Let’s support the heck out of VEAP! 😊
