Dear Friends of Peace,
At our Annual Meeting last Sunday, we gathered to elect council members, pass the budget, and look back at the past year. More importantly, however, we looked at the coming year and discussed how best to line up our vision with God’s vision. Thanks to all who contributed to the discussion, as well as those who have been participating in our congregational work regarding the surveys, the listening sessions, and the broad transitional conversation.
Now that all that hard work is behind us, we’re going to shift gears a bit this Sunday and have a little fun. First, we’ll gather for worship and hear a story about our call to live as “salt and light” in the world, bringing a little flavor and insight to those around us. And then, right after worship, we’re going to gather in the Parish Hall for BRUNCH AND BINGO! Please join us for food, fun, games, and PRIZES as we celebrate all that God is doing among us!
God’s Peace,
Pastor Jeff Engholm
P.S. Here’s a quick “heads up” about the following Sunday, February 15. During our Adult Education Hour, Bishop Jen Nagel will be joining us for a conversation about the past, present, and future of our congregation as she leads us into the next step of our transition.
