Dear Peace Members and Friends,
Holy Week is not a service. Rather, it is an experience. A collection of worship services to immerse yourself in the climax of the story of God’s determination to redeem God’s people and world. It begins tomorrow, Maundy Thursday, continues on Good Friday, and will come to a peak on Easter Sunday.
Here is the worship schedule along with some details:
- Thursday, March 28th, Maundy Thursday: 7:00pm
With nightfall, Lent comes to an end and we gather with Christians around the world to begin the celebration of the Three Days. At the heart of this worship is the Lord’s Supper and Jesus’ commandment to love one another.
- Friday, March 29th, Good Friday: 7:00pm
At the heart of this Good Friday worship are the “Seven Last Words of Jesus from the Cross.” With Jesus’ words, hymns, and prayers, we are given inroads into Jesus’s life and who he is, and—most importantly—who He is for you.
- Sunday, March 31st, Easter Sunday: 9:30am and 11:15am
“This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” God has raised Jesus from the dead and we join in celebrating the new life Christ’s resurrection brings to us and all the world.
