Greetings to everyone from Peace Lutheran Church!
In the past couple of weeks our church leadership has been gathering for a variety of reasons: The Service and Mission Committee met to discuss their upcoming service projects, the Listening Sessions Team gathered to organize the transitional work we’ll be leading in the next couple of months, and the Church Council met to carry on with their ongoing leadership responsibilities. Peace is a vibrant congregation with excellent lay leaders!
Coming up this Sunday we’ll be gathering as usual for worship, communion, and a story about what it means to use our time, talents, and treasures wisely. During our Adult Education Hour we’ll take the next step in our pastoral transition by having a forum on “Spiritual Biographies” led by Tammy Devine. We’ll also have some beautiful original artwork on display by Evelyn Ekegren. These pieces have been made available to all for free – many thanks to the family for this generous gift!
Finally, please keep the family of Marian Fronk in your prayers. Her funeral will be this Saturday, September 27, at 11:00am, with visitation starting at 10:00am. All are invited to attend.
