Dear Peace Families,
I hope you all had a blessed Holy Week and a wonderful celebration of Easter.
In the life of the Church, the celebration of Easter and Christ’s Resurrection is not just one day—it is a season that continues for six more weeks.
One big question for us to consider during the Easter season is: how do we live as Easter people? Or rather, what does it mean for us, as Christians, to share the Good News that Christ is risen and death has been conquered? And how does the reality of this new and everlasting life change how we live here and now?
Those are indeed big questions, ones that I can’t necessarily answer for you, but questions we each must faithfully and diligently contemplate. Because of the Resurrection, our world forever changed. Filled with the Holy Spirit, we are called by God to take part in the ongoing act of Creation.
And so as the weather (finally) starts to warm up and there are signs of this new life all around us, I invite you to take part—however you and your families feel called to do so—in God’s work of making all things new.
Lastly, two important reminders:
- VBS Registration is open until May 14! Details and registration link below.
- Peace families and friends will be packing meals at Feed My Starving Children on Friday, April 21. Sign up your family by sending an email to [email protected].
Grace and Peace,
Joe
