Dear Families and Friends of Peace,
As I mentioned last month, and as you’ve hopefully seen in the Blast, bulletin, and/or website, our deadline for summer camp registration is quickly approaching. The deadline for Camp Wapo Seeds, Camp Wapo Youth Camp, and Family Camp at Wilderness Canoe Base is just one week away—next Thursday, February 15.
As a refresher, here’s our summer 2024 schedule:
- June 20-23: Family Camp at Wilderness Canoe Base
- June 24-27: Vacation Bible School
- July 15-20: ELCA National Youth Gathering
- July 28-August 2: Camp Wapo Youth Camp
- August 2-4: Camp Wapo Seeds Weekend
Camp Wapo provides students with the opportunity to come together with friends and neighbors from all across Minnesota and Wisconsin. Between the field games, water activities, bible studies, and campfire worships, it is a fast-paced experience filled with fun.
- Students currently in 1-3 grade can attend the 3-day Seeds session, which costs $260 ($150 non-refundable deposit due upon registration).
- Students currently in 4-8 grade can attend the weeklong Youth Camp, which costs $650 ($150 non-refundable deposit due upon registration).
Family Camp at Wilderness Canoe Base, which is located 60 miles northwest of Grand Marais on the Gunflint Trail, will be one of the highlights of your summer! During our extended weekend, families of all ages–from toddlers to grandparents, will have the opportunity to venture into the Boundary Waters while also enjoying the amenities of staying onsite at WCB’s base camp. Lodging and meals will be provided, and each day will include morning and afternoon activities that the whole family can enjoy.
Please connect with me if you have any questions—it’s going to be a great summer!
Grace and Peace,
Joe
