Dear Families and Friends of Peace,
Happy Thanksgiving to all!
Today and this weekend, as you gather with family and friends, it’s my prayer that your time together would be filled with love, joy, and gratitude; that you would be able to enjoy laughter and smiles with everyone gathered at your tables, and that the thankfulness shared would fill you with faith, hope, and love.
And as we give thanks for the blessings in our lives, I pray that our hearts would be open to the needs of our neighbors, near and far, that our eyes would be open to see where and notice how God’s Spirit is moving around us, and that our hands would be open to serve others and pickup those who are down—for God has blessed us so that we may be a blessing to others!
So, today and always, may we be filled with grace, gentleness, and generosity—reminders of God’s presence in and around us—and embrace the sharing of them as well. Amen!
Additionally: This Sunday marks the beginning of Advent, a season of hopeful expectation that leads up to Christmas. To bless you and your families on your Advent journey, Peace has a gift for you—an Advent Card Pack. There is a card for each day of the season, and each one has a simple and fun family devotion for your family to enjoy together. They’re perfect for doing at mealtimes, before bed, or if you’re travelling in the car. If you haven’t already, please pick one up on Sunday!
Grace and Peace,
Joe
