Families and Friends of Peace,
Somehow, the calendar has already turned to October—which means that Trunk or Treat is just around the corner!
On Sunday, October 27, from 3:30-4:30pm, we are so excited to welcome kids and families from all across our neighborhood and community for this event.
With your help, we hope to greet everyone with joyous hospitality, which I’m sure will include plenty of candy, smiles, and laughs.
For those new to Trunk or Treat, it is much like Trick or Treating—except instead of going house to house around the neighborhood, kids go from trunk to trunk around cars parked in the Peace parking lot, which will be blocked off for everyone’s safety.
And if you’re wondering if this event is for you—it is! Trunk or Treat is an intergenerational event where parents and grandparents can join in the fun with their kids and grandkids, and where people of all ages can participate in the delight of passing out candy and hosting a trunk.
This is also designed to be a community event; so please share the invitation with your friends, teammates, classmates, neighbors, extended families, and whomever else you think might want to enjoy an amazing Sunday afternoon (and the Vikings play the Rams on TNF, so you won’t miss any football).
If you haven’t been able to attend the last few years, come and enjoy it this year. I guarantee—yes, guarantee—you’ll be glad you did and that it will put a smile on your face. And if it doesn’t, I’ll have some extra candy for you, and that should do the trick!
This event is an opportunity to share God’s love with our neighbors, and I hope you’ll join in the experience.

Grace and Peace, Joe
