Dear Peace Lutheran Church Friends and Family,
This past week has been full: on Monday night, a group of Peace members traveled to The Dubliner in St. Paul to sing along with the Fleshpots of Egypt bluegrass band; on Tuesday afternoon, another group shared good food and good conversation at the Sovereign Estate Winery in Waconia; on Tuesday evening, the Church Council gathered to make final plans for welcoming Peace’s new pastor; on Wednesday morning, the Peace Staff met to make MORE plans for welcoming Peace’s new pastor; and throughout the week numerous people stopped by to pick up items from our Education Wing to make room for all the Fall Festivities.
On Sunday morning, we’ll gather as always to pray, to sing, and to share in God’s Holy Meal. We’re also having a special Children’s Message that will involve an actual baptism! The Gospel reading will focus on two questions: First, Jesus will ask this: “Who do PEOPLE say that I am?” But then, he’ll ask the more important question: “Who do YOU say that I am?” Lots to ponder this week – see you Sunday for worship followed by coffee and conversation!
