Dear Peace Family and Friends,

This Sunday morning we begin the “home stretch” of our Lenten journey. After these past weeks of focusing on the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus in and around the countryside, we turn our eyes to the holy city of Jerusalem as Jesus turns his gaze toward the cross. But first, we will join Jesus as he rides triumphantly into Jerusalem, riding on a donkey, with palm branches laid before him, and all the crowds shouting HOSANNA TO THE KING OF KINGS!

In the past, we have watched the children of Peace Lutheran march around the sanctuary waving palm branches in honor of this grand occasion. However, this year we are ALL going to join in this parade as we all gather in the narthex and then together walk in to worship as we sing the Opening Hymn. It will be an exciting morning as we walk into “Jerusalem” with Jesus, singing “All Glory, Laud, and Honor!”

Palm Sunday also marks the beginning of Holy Week, when we’ll follow the events of the Passion of Our Lord as he falls from triumphant king to suffering servant. Please join us for our special Holy Week Services on Maundy Thursday (6:30pm), Good Friday (6:30pm), and then on Easter Sunday (9:30am and 11:15am) when we celebrate the surprise that our Lord has in store for us. You’ll find details for these services as you scroll down this e-Note.

God’s Peace,
