E-Note October 30, 2026

This Sunday is All Saints Sunday, a day when we remember and give thanks for the saints who have shaped our lives and our faith. In worship, we’ll hear Jesus’ words from the Beatitudes and discover that Jesus has a very different understanding of what it means to be “blessed.” The Beatitudes teach us to see the world differently → the saints are people who learned to see and live that way → now Jesus invites us to become that kind of people too. We’ll also remember those connected to our Peace Lutheran family who have died in the past year, as well as celebrate those who have been baptized this year. Their names will be read aloud as we give thanks for the ways God’s grace has been present in their lives and in ours.

After worship, join us for Education Hour with Adam Boldenow, who will be back to introduce us to the mystics. Mystics are people who have sought and experienced God in deep, direct, and deeply personal ways. As we celebrate the saints, this is a wonderful opportunity to consider the many ways people throughout Christian history have encountered God – and what their experiences might teach us about our own life of faith. Come learn, wonder, and explore with us!

And don’t forget: Trunk or Treat is this Saturday at 10:30 a.m.! Come join us for a fun morning of costumes, treats, and community. We’d love to see you there – and invite your friends and neighbors, too!

Finally, a little gift from the clock: Daylight Saving Time ends this weekend, so we get an extra hour of sleep! Set those clocks back Saturday night, get some rest, and then join us Sunday as we gather to remember, give thanks, learn, and celebrate the saints among us.

Grace and peace,

Pastor Anne
