Hi, Peace!
I’m starting to settle in, and I have to say, it’s beginning to feel like things are clicking into place. I’m learning names (slowly but surely!), getting to know more of you, and beginning to find the rhythms of life and ministry here at Peace. I’m grateful for the ways you’ve welcomed me and excited about what God is doing among us.
Thank you for the great welcome you showed me last week at my installation!
The energy was wonderful, and your hospitality was generous. I feel very grateful to be in ministry together.
This Sunday, our readings invite us to wrestle with a familiar question: What does “fair” really mean? Jesus’ parable of the vineyard workers challenges our instinct to keep score, while Paul invites us to consider what it means to live “in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ.”
Together, we’ll ask: What does power look like in the kingdom of God?
We’ll also kick off our Sunday School year with a blessing for all of our students and teachers during worship. Then, at 10:45am, Sunday School will begin in the Sanctuary. At the same time, our Sunday Adult Education Hour begins in the Parish Hall with Angela Tschida sharing about the ELCA’s 2027 National Youth Gathering and how all of us at Peace can get involved and support the youth who will be attending. This is a great opportunity for the whole congregation – not just families with youth – to learn more and be part of this experience!
I’m looking forward to a great Sunday together…
