Hello Peace!
What a joy it is to greet you as your new Senior Pastor! I look forward to worshiping with you all for the first time THIS SUNDAY! I hope you will be able to join us because we have much to celebrate. Pastor Jen Collins from the Minneapolis Area Synod will be here to install me as your pastor, and we’ll gather immediately after worship to have brunch together.
Our scripture for Sunday is John 15:9–17, and it reminds us that we are called to abide in Christ’s love, love one another, and live as friends – not simply followers – of Jesus. As we begin this ministry together and celebrate this installation, we do so knowing that our calling is not something we carry alone: we belong to one another, we serve one another, and there is joy in doing life together.
If you missed my email yesterday, I encourage you to read it here. And since I’m excited to meet you all, I invite you to print out this game, fill it out, and drop it off back at church (in the offering plate or the church office is great!).
