Dear Peace Parents and Families,
It was great to see so many of you this last Sunday as I returned from my parental leave.
Reilly and I welcomed our son, Cameron, into the world on June 29, which also happened to be the last day of Vacation Bible School. I’m grateful to everyone who cared for us at the hospital, and to everyone who helped make our “Stellar” VBS such a blast!
The six weeks of my parental leave that followed Cam’s birth were filled with many diaper changes, little sleep, and lots of love. We’re still adjusting to life as a family of four, but we are all healthy and doing well.
And to say the least, it was a blessing to share my time of parental leave with them—I was able to care for Reilly, attend to Cam’s many needs, and spend a lot of time with our oldest son, Lucas.
Lucas loves being an older brother too–at least most of the time! While he may not always like that our parental spotlight is divided now, he is gentle and caring, and we are so proud of him.
Over the next couple weeks, our final preparations for the fall season are being made. I am looking forward to seeing each of you and hearing about your summer adventures, and I am looking forward to everything the fall has in store. It will be a great season of ministry together!
In the meantime, I invite you to join me and other Peace families and friends for an afternoon of mini golf and ice cream this coming Sunday!
